Hate/Life is a compilation of tracks from various independant sludge, doom and post-rock artists with releases on Swarm Of Nails and Throatruiner Records. There's quite an interesting mix of styles on here, from crushingly heavy post-hardcore to slow, drudging doom, ambient to black metal! Mostly it's all pretty slow and heavy, which is just the way I like it. There's some great stuff on here, including several awesome bands I was already aware of; Huata (whose album I posted a few months ago), Art Of Burning Water (who I saw at the Cowley Club in Brighton with DKH and Drainland) Birds In Row, As We Draw and Pigeon (all of whom have free releases I'll be posting over the coming weeks or months).
